Benefits of Routine Skin-Care

We all know that it's important to take care of our skin, after all it's the only skin we're in. Your face is typically the first thing that people see and the way that our skin looks can greatly effect our confidence level and how we feel about ourselves. One way to maintain healthy, glowing skin is by getting a regular facial and maintaning an at home skin-care routine. For many people they wait until a particular skin issue arises such as dry skin, breakouts, redness or dark spots. However for many of these different skin issues getting and maintaining a regular skin-care routine can prevent many of them from occuring. It is important to have a skin care routine that includes daily cleansing and product use reccomended by a proffessional for your specific skin needs. Also it is important to have a mothly facial to get a deep clean and exfolliation while promoting healthy skin cell turnover and regeneration. It is ideal to get a facial once a month because your stratum corneum, the outermost layer of visible skin, renews itself completelty about every 28 days. During this time your skin cells are continuously replicating from the treated cells to replace the old cells. Eventually if you continue to receive regular monthly facials the skin cells will start to replicate the now healthier skin cells, giving you a brighter, smoother and better complexion. Some other benefits to coming in for a monthly facial include:

  • A monthly facial is a wonerful opportunity to RELAX. Facials are a great way to soothe your mind, body, and spirit. They allow you to unwind and relieve stress while experiencing the gentle touch and massage of the skin care provider.

  • Cleansing the pores at a much deeper level than you could achieve at home. Just like you get your teeth cleaned at the dentist. Also extractions and cleaning out the pores can help clear the skin, stop acne from forming, and prevent strethching of the pores. Pores, if left unchecked can stretch and widen from oil and debris accumulation.

  • Along those same lines facials provide much deeper exfolliation than you can achieve at home. The benefits of thie deeper exfolliation including smoothing the skin, the ability for products to penetrate deeper into the skin which allows them to work more effectively, it also improves the skins ability to retain hydration and moisture whle helping to even out skin tone.

  • Facials slow down the aging process and work to reverse signs of againg. A good facial will leave your skin healthier, smoother, and more radiant than before. Also facials help relieve dehydrated skin, reduce fine lines, and work to erase age spots.

  • Also by regularly seeing a professional that knows your skin and your skins needs they can point you to the proper products that you need to be using for your at home routine between facials to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

  • A good facial along with facial massage can help to smooth fine lines while working to prmote the production of collagen, which is the building block of the skin and works to prevent premature aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin.

  • A monthly facial can also help lighten dark spots and even out skin tone, but that's not an excuse to skimp on the sunscreen, even when it's cloudy.

Now that you know some of the benefits of daily skin care maintenance and regular monthly facials it should give you the motivation to wash your face at the end of the day even when your tired and to get in for that monthly facial, which along with being great for your skin is a wonderful excuse to get some quality relaxation in. If your ready to take some new steps in your skin care routine please don't hesitate to schedule a facial, after your facial we would be happy to get you set up with the best products for your specific skin needs to make your at home maintenance all the more effective.
