Oncology services at Brilliant Bodywork-
Current stats show that on average about 1 out of 3 people will develop cancer in their lifetime. We understand that cancer affects many people in many different ways. We realize that dealing with a cancer diagnosis is a struggle on its own, and on top of that is the financial burden and strain that comes with it. We want to do what we can to make carrying the burden of a cancer diagnosis a little lighter, and that’s why we created the Wings of Hope program at Brilliant Bodywork.
We developed the Wings of Hope program as a special menu of services geared towards oncology clients and those in remission from cancer. We also offer a financial program for these clients that allows them to pay what they can afford for the services received. Wings of Hope was established in honor of Paula Tower, who heroically fought her metastatic breast cancer head-on with a beautiful attitude and spirit. She was and continues to be, an inspiration to all who knew her.
We want to help you relax and feel good about yourself. It is important to take care of your whole self when dealing with a difficult diagnosis like cancer. However, being an oncology client also brings with it some specific challenges when doing spa treatments. Seeing a specially trained oncology aesthetician ensures you receive a relaxing AND safe experience without the worry of side effects, product reactions, and lymphedema. We have one of the areas ONLY Certified Medical Oncology Aestheticians, and this program is very close to her heart. Her experience as an oncology aesthetician offers peace of mind that she is educated on what will and will not cause any harm to the client. When going through any type of oncology treatments we understand the financial strain that can come with it. That’s why Wings of Hope Oncology services are provided to cancer patients and survivors at a minimal cost. We offer all services based on a sliding fee scale. This allows you to pay what you can afford to help assist us with the overhead cost to provides these services as well as allow us to provide these services to other oncology patients and survivors. This means if you can only pay $5.00 that day then that’s what you pay if you can pay more that’s great, but if you can’t then we understand. We would rather have you come in and let us help take care of you then worry about whether you can afford to or not. If you or a loved one are currently going through or have gone through cancer treatment, please don’t hesitate to contact us about being a part of the Wings of Hope program at Brilliant Bodywork. We may request a written letter of approval from a medical oncologist before providing services. Gentle Cleansing and Restoring Facial Completely customized for your mind, body and soul’s special needs. You will be treated to a relaxing and restorative facial including cleansing, exfoliation, steam, massage or Reiki, mask, and moisturizer. Includes a complimentary massage of the arms and hands. 50 minutes - $20-$55
Relaxing Warm Stone Body Treatment Using heat-absorbing basalt, our warm stone massage combines elements of the earth with a grounding human touch that soothes muscles and increases circulation with the release of heat through both the massage and the stone. 50 minutes - $20-$55
Scalp Nourishing and Relaxation A potent sensory experience with a scalp, neck, face and shoulder massage. Pure essential oils will be used to release sinus pressure. Massage therapy will increase scalp circulation while targeting pressure points that release tension and stress. 30 minutes - $10-$25
Reiki A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to facilitate healing on all levels- physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. A session is pleasant and relaxing and is often utilized for one's own personal wellness, not just illness. 50 minutes - $20-$55
Hand and Foot Journey
For a complete release of tension in all your extremities, enjoy a hand and foot relaxation journey. Lie back and relax as your hard-working hands and feet are taken on a well-deserved vacation. 30 minutes - $10-$25
Aromatherapy Aromatherapy is a practice in which scented oils are inhaled through the nose or rubbed on the body during a spa service. Research in cancer patients has shown that aromatherapy may help relieve anxiety, depression, nausea and high blood pressure. As an add-on to any service - $5
