Spa at Home

Do you ever leave your Brilliant Bodywork session and think I wish I could make that spa feeling last a little longer? Well, now you can bring home that unplug and recharge feeling Brilliant Bodywork is known for. We have 5 ideas to help bring the spa feeling home, anytime you need to relax and unwind and want to make that just left the spa feeling last.

Step 1- Set the Mood- Start by putting on some relaxing music. Most music apps like Amazon music, Spotify, and Pandora have spa playlists or try searching for meditation music. Allow yourself to begin to relax and unwind, enjoy some infused water just like we give you when you arrive.

You can infuse your water with a variety of fruits, veggies, and herbs. A few combinations you might enjoy are cucumber and mint, watermelon and basil. or strawberry and lemon. Sip your water and let your stress disolve.

Next, create a spa-like ambiance by lighting some candles and get your essential oil diffuser going. Use a relaxing blend of essential oils or try know calming oils like lavender, sandalwood, or ylang-ylang.

Finally grab your softest, fluffiest, towels and bathrobe and get them going in the dryer. You can add a wool ball or dryer sheet with a few drops of your favorite essential oil as well. You will enjoy these as part of the next step.

Step 2- Soothing Soak- Next time you're at the spa fill a jar of Farmhouse Fresh bath salts or soaks to take home. The bath salts are custom blended and include Atlantic Ceara, Pink Himalayan, and Epsom salts. They are scented with stress-relieving oils and infused with organic teas and flowers. My favorite is the Lavender-Hibiscus, it includes the salts along with organic green tea, lavender, lemon myrtle, rosehip and more. The mineral-rich salts bring a weightless feel to bathwater, easing tension and soothing muscles.

Add a little skincare while you soak with a Farmhouse Fresh mask. Apply your facial mask before getting in the tub and let it set while you soak. Simply rinse off when the mask is done processing and pat face dry. When you get out of the tub apply your favorite hydrating moisturizer to help your skin look and feel healthy.

3. Buff it out and Moisturize- While the bathwater is still nice and warm grab a Farmhouse Fresh scrub, you can choose from a sugar-based or salt-based scrub. I pick my scrub by which one smells the best to me, however, that is never easy with the delightfully scented line of Farmhouse Fresh scrubs. Once the skin is wet get scrubbing. You will want to focus on areas that tend to be ruff like the feet, elbows, and knees. Apply the scrub all over to slough off build up and reveal the smooth, healthy skin below. Simply rinse away when done.

When it's time to get out grab your warm, fluffy towels and robe out of the dryer. You will get that spa feeling when the warm, soft fabric surrounds you. Next, apply a scrumptiously scented shea butter lotion. This will help seal in moisture and keep skin soft and healthy. Not to mention there are many delectable scents to choose from that will linger on your skin long after your bath. I especially love the Fluffy Bunny lotion. Find your favorite and apply it whenever you need a little bit of the spa feeling at home or on the go.

4. Mani/Pedi- The next step is an at home pedi from the farm. We have 3 amazing pedicure products from Farmhouse Fresh that will leave your feet feeling luxuriously soft and smooth.

Step 1-Start with the Honey Lavender scrub to slough away built-up dead skin and help prep the feet for the next steps.

Step 2- Follow up with the Honey Heel Glaze, a honey-based moisture serum seals in moisture and brings rich color back to tired feet.

Step 3- Finish your at home pedi with the Honey-Chai Steeped Milk lotion to seal in all the moisture and keep your feet looking and feeling great. Add a drizzle of polish to your toes to make them look as pretty as they feel.

For your at home mani follow the steps above but leave out step 2. If your feet really need a lot of work then we suggest trying out the Baby Foot at home chemical peel for feet. It is super easy to use and the peel takes off the layers of built up hard, dead, and tuff skin. 5. Sip the Tea- Bring home your favorite tea from Brilliant Bodywork and steep a cup whenever you want that relaxing, spa feeling. We have the same tea we offer you when you come into the spa available for home purchase. The Sacred Blossom tea is locally grown and made in Mondovi, WI. We have 3 flavors available. The Dream tea is a great tea before bed to help you get ready for a restful nights sleep. The Tiger tea is a wonderful blend designed to give you a natural energy boost without caffeine. The third blend is the Angel blend, this blend is a calming blend, designed to help you de-stress and have a few moments of calm while you drink it.

Now you have the tools to help unplug, and recharge at home in between your sessions at the spa. Give these a try when you need some relaxation and calm in your lif
