Summer Fun Bucket List

Since we are about 1/2 way through July, I thought it would be the perfect time to bring back one of our favorite summer blog posts. We are re-sharing our Summer Fun Bucket List chock full of awesome summer time adventures, ideas, and fun to be had. We have 25 great things you can do before the end of summer arrives. Take a look at the ideas and see what you will add to your summer fun bucket list.

1. Go to a state or county fair or carnival, enjoy the rides, food, and fun!

2. Make a Pinterest craft, to the best of your ability (don't be afraid to laugh if it's a craft fail, just share it so the rest of us can laugh with you).

3. Have a picnic, pack a basket and a blanket and all your favorite picnic treats. The local farmers market at Cameron Park has live music and tons of vendors on Fridays and Saturdays through October. This is a great place to have a picnic, plus they have a playground for little ones and story time on Fridays at 4:30 p.m.

4. Blow bubbles, check Pinterest for some neat ways to make different kinds like snake bubbles.

5. Go kayaking or canoeing for the day, bonus bucket list fun if you get in a splash fight with your buddies.

6. Go stargazing, throws some blankets and pillows in the back of a pick-up truck or lay them out in the grass and just watch the night sky. Make a wish if you see a shooting star!

7. Go on a spontaneous adventure, no destination, this one is all about the journey.

8. Do yoga at sunrise, or do yoga on the water.

9. Take a road trip, pick out neat places to see and things to do along the way. Check out Google to find some great road trip suggestions for the areas you want to see.

10. Get Ice Cream, from the Ice Cream parlor, Dairy Queen or even the ice cream truck.

11. Watch the sunset, preferably with someone you love <3 <3

12. Read a good book (or 2, or 3, or more!)

13. Go to some concerts or music festivals and take in the excitement and fun of live music.

14. Mini-golf!! Loser buys round two and winner buys drinks after.

15. Flea-market and rummage sale scavenger hunt for goodies. Don't forget estate sales too. You never know what kinds of treasures you may find.

16. Outdoor/backyard movie, how much fun would this be with friends and family, fresh popcorn and lemonade!

17.Go fishing, go at dawn or twilight for added ambiance.

18. Try a new recipe, make enough to share with neighbors, friends, and family. Or bring your new recipe to your neighborhood block party if you have one.

19. Go for a nature walk, see what plants, animals and tracks you can spot and identify. Collect leaves and other treasures you found on the ground.

20. Go dancing, learn to swing dance, ballroom dance, fox trot, even polka (a popular choice in this area!) and other fun dances then put your skills to the test out on the dance floor. The Concordia Ballroom in La Crosse has a few dances throughout the summer, you can go early to learn the moves and stay and dance the night away after.

21.Of course what summer is complete without going swimming!? Doesn't matter if it's a pool, lake, river, or waterpark, just get in and get wet! If your feeling up to an added challenge go tubing down a river. Check out the Root River or Apple River, they have specific tubing events you can sign up for.

22. Make a scrapbook of your summer or any other things that interest you. Get out the camera and make some memories. Then get creative and put them in your scrapbook.

23. Go camping, tent or cabin doesn't matter but a campfire and s'mores are mandatory, bonus bucket list fun if you make pudgy pies.

24. Try zip lining. Wisconsin Dells has a great zip lining course you can try.

25. Go to the zoo or aquarium and learn some new things about your favorite animals or aquatic life.

Add your own ideas to this list to make it your own summer bucket list, cross things off as you go and remember to have fun and not stress about trying to finish it. The whole idea is to try different things and to keep doing your favorites. When you are all done and exhausted from all the summer fun add one more things to your list, a massage at Brilliant Bodywork! A massage is a great way to relax and unwind after all your summer adventures and shenanigans. We'd love to see you and hear all about your summer bucket list fun. Enjoy!
