Peel Away the Years

Wouldn't it be great if we could peel away the impact that living life over the years has had on our skin? If we could peel away the years of sun exposure, the fine lines, the uneven texture and more? Well, good news, we can! Using chemical peels we are able to turn back the clock on these issues and more. A chemical peel is a acid based peel that is used to correct a variety of skin issues such as blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven pigmentation. Chemical peels work by exfoliating the outer layers of dead skin, literally peeling off the outside layer, to reveal a new, healthier, skin layer beneath. In addition to full face peels, we also offer certain types of peels to be used as spot treatments on the body. For example, we could spot treat stretch marks to help dull them. We offer several types of chemical peels, each designated for different types and degrees of skin problems. Chemical peels can give you dramatic results with little to no downtime and could be the secret to achieving that youthful look.

A chemical peel will:

  • Improve the texture of your skin, reducing and/or removing blotchy patches

  • Increase the cell turnover rate of your skin

  • Improve your skin’s ability to hold moisture

  • Improve your skins ability to produce more collagen

  • Reduce fine lines

  • Decrease hyperpigmentation

  • Unclog pores and help clear up acne

  • Leave your skin smooth

  • Make your skin softer

  • Give you a “glow”

  • Make your skin look dewy

  • Improve minor scarring

  • Better overall skin quality including better tone, texture, color

  • Removing the appearance of sun damage

  • Acne management

  • Lightening of the skin

  • Low downtime

  • Smoother skin

  • Age spot removal

  • Fast and simple procedure

Important Information-

It is important to understand that after you receive your chemical peel you may need to make some slight modifications to your routine so as not to cause any unneeded irritation of hyperpigmentation to your skin. You can do this by avoiding excessive exercise/sweating and avoiding excessive heat from a sauna or hot tub for a few days after your peel. Also, do not pick at or scrub your skin. Do not use any retinol or alpha hydroxy acid products for at least 10 days following your peel.

How Often to Get a Peel-

For the best results it is usually best to get a peel every four to six weeks. However, this can differ depending on your own skin's unique issues and needs and can vary from person to person. Therefore, it is best to follow the advice and suggestions of your service provider. Also, you may want to consider including microdermabrasion treatments interspersed with the chemical peels to enhance results.

When WIll You See Results-

Chemical peels have a tendency to be unpredictable when it comes to a time frame for seeing results. Everyone has different skin so results can vary. Also, it may depend on the type of peel being done. Some people may see results in as little as 10 days and for others in may be 3 weeks.
